Church Women

United Women in Faith

Women of the church are by default members of the group, but we welcome any and all women of the community to join us.

The organized unit of the United Women in Faith should be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Our group meets monthly via zoom, with a program that relates to the many missions sponsored by United Women in Faith.  We work on projects to help other people, such as “Days for Girls”  https://www.daysforgirls.org/

Other activities include mission studies, Bring A Hat/Wear A Hat Tea, Assembling kits for UMCOR , parties for the UMAR home,  Spiritual Growth Retreat, collecting hygiene items for homeless women, as well as many more mission projects, and volunteering once per year to package meals for Rise Against Hunger.

It is through the above ministry/mission projects,  as well as participation in UWF activities both locally and at the conference level at Lake Junaluska that our women are not only recognized but feel satisfaction that comes from serving and meeting needs both locally and globally.
